I have the serial protocols for the NuVo whole home controller documenting the RS232 commands and responses. Is there anyone that might want to take a stab at programming for this?
I’ll take a stab at it if someone wants to take a stab at buying me one…
@Techsan, as funny as that might seem, what @woodsby is saying really is the best way to get a Plugin/driver written. Only really rudimentary things can be written “blind” (without the device in-hand)
Of course it doesn’t need to be the “top of the line model”, as this thing can be crazy-expensive, but it needs to be something that has the same API and/or RS-232 protocol.
You might want to have a chat with Nuvo, and find out if they’ll loan (or give, even better) a Simplese in order to get a Plugin written (assuming it has the same Protocol(s) as the Grand Concerto)
At any rate, you might want to post the Protocol docs, to see what types of integration would [theoretically] be possible in Nuvo were interested in going that direction. Some of these things are customizable enough that their “control pads” could control Vera in other ways. Don’t know if that applies to Nuvo’s stuff.
