I know there are lot of apps that can be used for notification

Since few years I’m using the the iPhone app Notifications (push)
App from Fabien Penso

You can just send a simple e-mail to the app and it will send a notification to you iPhone.

are there better methods, apps, plugins?
app that can send a message to imessage?

I’m using http://www.pushingbox.com/ works with many notification apps on multiple platforms. works great so far.

The first part is done from your phone. Get it to create a new device which it will then install on your Vera.
You then need your device ID of the phone, email to yourself.
Modify the device above and add your device I’d in Vera, you can add more then 1 device I’d.
Create a scene as normal then in the advance tab select the device created and select add.
Select send push notifications from the list
It should now display in the bottom half with 3 input boxes.
Box1 type in the message eg back door opened
Box2 +1
Box3 default
Save and test.

You can create multiple automator devices from your phone and either have multiple or single device I’d in each depending on whom you wish to get the message notification.

You only need one really and all scene can use the same device to push you notifications.

Now this app has it own place in the forum and you may wish to ask other question there. I hope this helps.
