Hi, I?m on Vera 3 UI7 FW 1.7.730 and I try to configure NortQ Smart-meters.
Ihave one working as I want polling data at the rate I want and Reading the pulses from my meter, maybe because it has the default value of 1000 impulses/kwh (value in vera 10000)
I have 2 more, and I can configure the wakeup and pollingintervalls. (120 seconds wakeup, 30 seconds polling)
BUT as soon as I try to edit the Pulsefactor variable, the Count of impulses on my meter/kwh, to 8000 the meter just says Failed at: Setting user configuration
I attach screendumps on the current device options if there is something wrong there and anyone knows (attach 2 more in first reply).
OK! After a bit of Reading I changed some settings under device options.
The first parameter that is originally set to monitor only, I changed that to 2Byte Dec and entered the value 8000 (The monitored meters pulse interval / kwh multiplied with 10) so now there is no Failed att setting:user configuration any more.
Will report back in a day or two If the values are aligned…
OK, Here is what I did to get all 3 working… 1st one was no problem, but there was 2 of them giving me headaches AND Failed at setting:user configuration.
In short:
Edited Deviceoption param 1 to desired value with datatype 2bit Dec.
Edited deviceoption param 9 to total kwh Reading on the meter multiplied with the meters pulserate.
Edited the wakeup-intervall and poll intervalls to 120 s resp. 30 s.
Applied then I get Failed at setting:user configuration.
Then I Unpaired the device, and paired it again and Voil? - All settings in, no errors and Everything reporting as it should…
Have you made any progress with this time vampire? I’ve recently been trying to do what you are aiming for and I get stuck with a “Waiting for wakeup to configure device”. I ended up changing the pulse on my mains meter instead but I’d really like to get a short interval on readings. Since the “Waiting for wakeup to configure device”-message would not go away despite reboots and what not, I unpaired and re-paired which removed the wait-message but set my back to square #1. Any clues on how to proceed is greatly appreciated. Getting readings only a few times per day is not a great UX.
I have Readings every 2 minutes right now. That is OK for me, but cannot really be used to show current wattage.
It was a bit frustrationg setting it up and North Q support hmm, well i Think I know their Product better then them right now ;)…
Currently at work but can post later…
