Noob question: How can I dimm a light with Qees remote controller?

Hi,

For dimming a light I want to use a Qees MyKey remote, which has 4 buttons. I can switch lights on and off using group-ID’ s 1 till 4 in the Qees device options.

How can I get to dim a light with one of the Qees buttons using my vera3 (UI5) controller?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

How did you link the dimmer to the MyKey’s button? Did you use the entry in the remote’s menu or did you do it from the gateway’s interface?

Sorry for the late response :-[

I added the Qees remote to my Vera 3:

Device #11 Automatically configure Use default behavior learn more Wakeup interval (seconds):

Poll this node at most once every seconds (0=never poll, blank=default).

After that I configured at the tab ‘device options’ 4 groups, which correspond the four buttons on the remote.
At the button ‘set’ of each button I marked a device, like a lamp-switch.

When I press a button, the marked lamp-switch will switch on or off.

I also heave a switch with a dimmer. When this device is marked, the light will switch on/off when pressing the the corresponding button.

My question remains, how can I get this to work to dimm the lamp?

Hi,

In order for the dimming to work, you need to associate the dimmer directly to MyKey, without Vera.

Hope this helps and sorry for the late reply, too.

Thanx!
