NEWBIE Harmony 890 (non-pro) with vera

Just bought Vera2; I currently use Harmony 890 (non-pro) to control 3 outlets, 2 lamp modules and 1 outdoor module (all GE). It’s working great and love the “geek” factor. I bought vera to control with smartphone BUT:

Am I going to be able to use the vera AND the remote to control these devices or can I only use vera?

I’m afraid you won’t. Harmony 890 can’t be configured as a secondary controller.

The following thread on the Logitech forum can be helpful:

You can do some tricks with 890PRO, but Harmony inherently has a lot of limitations, the worst one doesn’t allow you to add scene to the end of the Harmony activity.

So, I’m having a HUGE party at the house in a couple days, got the vera last night, everything is working GREAT with the Harmony 890 (for the few things I control). My goal has been totally smartphone controlled though. I spent a couple hours last night trying to get vera to recognize my devices with 1 out of 6 being recognized. So, I put control back to the Harmony 890. Is there a “fool-proof” way to convert the scenes, etc to vera using the Logitech software or remote? I just don’t want to get half way through and not be able to show-off for the friends… you know what I’m talking about 8)
