New Yale lock - paring question

Just installed a Yale YRD220ZW in front door. Lock is working.

But, I have not yet paired it with my VL.

Instructions for pairing state “put vera in included mode by using the full power inclusion mode”

I have ordered a 50ft ethernet cable so I can do the full power inclusion.

Is there any chance that I could do this full power inclusion with the Veralite about 35ft away?
I would like to get this working now, but will wait for the 50 ft cable if neccessary.

I’ve had mine a while, but I think I included it in high-power mode while on the door.

Shouldn’t hurt to try, it should fail if it doesn’t work properly.

I’m in UI5.
Go to devices, then add devices.

At the bottom select “Advanced ZWave Devices”

On the bottom line, change “low power” to “full power” and hit GO.

The line will read:

node(s) of type with and timeout after <30>

then go to the lock and try to include it.

I would agree with above. Try it and see. I would say it should work, but every house, with walls and everything is different. Only thing to do it try.

The easier option would be to pull the lock out and take to your Vera… Then reinstall, however, the routing would not be correct until a little later. After it initially pairs, leave there until it gathers all the associated configuration
