I am new to home automation and am learning. I have my yale lock working fine in vera lite and authomation hd. what I would like to do is every time the door lock is accessed lock or unlock I would like a snapshot from the camera to be texted or emailed. Is this possible?
What kind of camera do you have? I have a Yale lock and a Foscam camera. In my Foscam camera on Vera if I click on the wrench > settings there is an option “Archive a photo whenever the following sensors are tripped or doors are open”. I am then given a list of all the z-wave sensors/locks I have available. Assuming my camera was aimed at my front door I could then select say my front door’s Yale lock and whenever the lock was unlocked I could have a photo archived.
