I got a new Vera3 and the battery does not seem to work. When I first got it (around 5 days ago) and charged it for around 6 hours, it ran the vera for around 5 minutes. Now it does not even power it on.
I have the battery pack charger with one light. I have hooked the battery up to the charger with the pack turned on (- pressed) and let it charge over 8 hours. Now If I try to charge, the light on the battery charger is green opposed to red. Where I believe red means charging and green means charged.
When I hook the vera up, nothing happens.
Any ideas? I did open a support ticket and so far they have said charge the pack.
Im having the same problem. My battery pack has been on the charger since last week. still wont do diddly. Im getting upset. its a hassle to connect devices.
Can you please submit a trouble ticket from the Vera unit interface or send us an email to support@getvera.com so we can proceed with the replacement of the battery pack if it turns out that it is indeed defective ?
I thought I had the same issue. I was having to plug the Vera 3 into the wall close to devices. Then I tried something and it worked for me. When you plug in the battery pack an LED lights up on the pack and the wall plug shows a green LED.
Turn the on\off switch on the battery pack to ON
The LED on the wall plug will go to red. Wait… Eventually (not long, maybe an hour or so) the LED on the wall plug will go back to green.
At this point my battery pack was charged and powered my unit for six device pairings.

I am having the same trouble. I tried this, but my LED never changes color… Anybody else have this issue?

Yes, I am having the same problem. Power supply has a green led and the battery has an red led and won’t charge. I have the (- pressed) so the battery is on while trying to charge. Any other suggestions?
The curious thing with mine is that it worked the firs couple of times, perfectly. As though it was plugged into power. i was doing simple light switch inclusions.
Since the battery pack has only lit the Vera3 power light for a few seconds and then darkness…

I contacted the seller of my unit. Since it was relatively new, they contacted MCV and were able to get me a new battery pack. it is being sent as of yesterday.
