Hi al
new to this forum so hi, i have just started into the home automation and was bought a starter kit with vera lite and 5 socket addaptors. All has gone well in setting it all up with the help of the posts here and the starter guide i have set up my socket addaptors, i used 4 of them for tabe lamps and all runs superb, the problem i had was when i used one of the sockets in the kitche to turn on an appliance, the ipad app was showwing an error and the item would not switch off. I have not exceeded the max load but while it was on all the tabs froze. i turned everything off and rebooted it all but it has happened every time i switch on the kitchen appliance. so i just want to know is this a common occurance and you just put up with glitches or should it all run sommthly when set up
thanks in advance for any replys

It certainly isn’t common in my system. All devices switch correctly and their status is shown on the UI and various remote-control screens. It runs as long as I leave it alone (until I change something and restart it). ;D
Does it still cause a freeze if you switch the problem device without a load connected to it? Does it have a value of 1 for the variable Configured in the device Advanced tab?
hi thanks for the reply
to be honest have not tried not under load, but will, just left alone untill i posted here and used other plugs to run sceens and switching just getting used to set up
thanks

Have you ruled out the ipad utility by trying to operate it directly from the Vera UI?
