I have installed Vera2 w/most recent firmware along with Trane’s T-Stat. I was able to pair them. But, now I can’t get to the Dashboard; computer just sits there at the address 192.168.81.1/wizard/. That is, the ‘Dashboard’ button does not work on the screen. Appreciate all help. Thanks!
Did you get it figured out? Sounds like your Vera got handed a new ip address when you pluggedd it back in.
Same issue here.
I got my Vera II yesterday and when I first turned it on it wanted to do a firmware upgrade. So I let it do an upgrade and then I played around a bit: I added a webcam and removed it again. This morning I wanted to continue the setup and I approached the device ip-address again. I fixed the ip address in the Fritz-box so I’m sure it is correct. Now when I want to load the dashboard or wizard I see the page with an overlay: “with loading - please wait” and eventually it times out.
I am still able to access the ‘setup your network page’ and ‘upgrade your firmware page’. Also the network functionality is normal. Since I cannot approach the dashboard I don’t see how I can reinstall the previous firmware. Furthermore, the reset button doesn’t help. I don’t see what I can do more…
I filed an assistance request with MCV. But I’m still searching for solutions here on the forum. Maybe someone here can give me any pointers?
Can you ping the vera unit?

Hi Garret,
Yes I could ping it. It actually worked as a web server it just didn’t load the wizard or dashboard.
However: I seem to have made some progress! It turns out I wasn’t resetting it the right way. I was holding the button for ten seconds, but then I found on the forum that you need to press it twice, now it has been reset. Unfortunately I didn’t get a paper manual and I didn’t find this procedure in the online manual.
For now the reset (2x short press of reset) solved the problem. I hope it stays OK now.
Sadly documentation is lacking and it does require some searching and digging. Yes, doing a two quick taps to the reset button will reset the device to factory defaults.
