New Sprinkler Control Hardware to support UPnP?

I stumbled on this thread last night. I am a member of a small LLC that is currently designing an Ethernet based 10 zone controller with optional WiFi and looking for feedback. Our product interface is unique but similar to the Etherain8 in principal but after reading this forum I am wondering if the community would appreciate a device with UPnP interface instead.

We had also been working on a prototype website http://www.net-lawn.com to test and control the system but after reading a great deal of the micasaverde posts it seems the user community would rather have a device that can be integrated and scaled into a larger system rather than a stand-alone product.

We are in the schematic design phase at the moment so please comment on desired features that the Etherain may be lacking or that would make this or similar devices for home automation more capable.

Currently the product has the following features:

[ul][li]Wired + WiFi Ethernet[/li]
[li]10 Zones or 9 Zones with pump control[/li]
[li]24VAC function[/li]
[li]LCD (Thinking about removing this just to reduce cost as most functions can be accesses via smart phone)[/li]
[li]Rain Sensor Input[/li]
[li]Flow Meter Input[/li][/ul]

You can email us directly with suggestions or post them in this forum:

Any status on you device?

Upnp would be cool. An interface for Vera would be essential, but the main you should be a built-in web ui.

Let me know if you need a beta tester.
