New plug-in (re-written from scratch) for OpenSprinkler, supporting zones, programs and more!

Please check category and subcategory and report back. I can see them well on my iPhone.

It seems correct. I’m out of town right now but I’ll look at my setup soon and report back.

will this be coming to the app store soon?

yes. It’s stable now and I’ll upload it to the store very soon.

any updates re the app store?

have you tested on a vera plus as of yet @therealdb

Testing for the past month or two on my VP. Everything seems to be working well minus some of the on/off toggles not showing up in the mobile app.

I have a Vera edge, this is tested and supported on a real Vera.
I will upload it to the store this week and report back.

any more updates? i still don’t see it available in the store

I found that the device file name is used by a previous plugin. I’m working on changing it or ask Vera to remove the old one (abandoned). It will take more days than I originally planned.

how is this progressing?

@Sorin can I take over a non-working and abandoned plugin and use the opensprinkler1 file name? Thanks.

Switched over to this version after my firmware upgrade. (Instead of finding the json parser, etc to support the old)

Very nice and working great. I understand the concept of using the dimmer to input minutes. But, personally, it’d be great to not have this as a “light” and, instead, the sprinkler icon like before. (Maybe keep the dimmer slider?)

Great stuff!

Unrelated to my previous post and probably more important…

I’m trying to get the status of the device using Reactor. I can see LoadLevelTarget for my zones. This “may” be good enough for my purposes. However, I can’t get a status for my Master zone. I see that it is “on” but no way to get status in Reactor. Anyone else seeing this?

Update/Solved: After cycling each zone and doing a reactor refresh, I can now query the “status” variable.

Thanks! Unfortunately this is the only way to get support in mobile apps. I think it’s a minor annoiance over a better usability.

I see the “light bulbs” for the zones in the mobile app as well. (The programs DO show the valves, however!)

In the old plugin, I think the developer had a sprinkler head. When it was “on”, it had water coming out the top. This also worked for the mobile app. Maybe those can be used?

The good news is the app works great and the zones/programs are in “unknown category” so they won’t respond to “all on” “all off” commands.

Thanks again!

The other one is not supported by mobile apps. What you see is a bug I already reported in the web Ui, introduced with fw 7.29.

Edit: I also asked for a generic dimmer, but since this fw is practically dead, I don’t think it will ever be added.

Updated version sent to AppStore for approval.

Starting from now, the files have a new name, so if you want to update it, you have to change attributes manually.

Is there any updates to the plugin or is the same version as Github?
