The feature, “Today Extension for your favorite scene shortcuts”, doesn’t make a lot of sense. Is it a shortcut folder? If so, then why call it Today Extension? Today Extension sounds like an add-on to the app, or maybe something that extends today. Neither seems related to a shortcut folder.
I like the UI (from the pictures at least). I have typically far prefer native iOS like UIs over custom made ones. Previously my favorite app was GreenHome which featured iOS like UI, but that app seems to have been defunct and it doesn’t support UI7’s thermostat changes. So it’s nice to see another app going that route.
Any chance of adding local access to your vera so we don’t have to go through mios? Not sure about anyone else, but i actually block mios access to my unit because I only want local access.
As for local access, Mios has auto discovery mechanism and, if your Vera is on your local network as your iPhone the local IP of your Vera is used for access. You can try it out and let me know if that works for you

Today’s Extension is the official term for the iOS pulldown screen coined by Apple (This is where you typically see your todays events, stocks, weather, etc). Today’s extension for HomePal is a list of your favorite scenes. I usually have 2 scenes - Home and Away which I use as predefined configuration macros.

I am glad you like the UI.

Thanks for the response. As I said, I block access (through local firewall) from mios so I don’t believe auto discovery will work. No worries though. I know my use case is not typical so I can continue to use other apps. If the app ever gets this feature, i’ll definitely give it another go.
Still happy there’s another new app available, if only just for others.

If you are running UI5 I can easily add the ability to add Vera manually. Mind chatting more about this over email? dmitry@coldfishinc.com
