Just wanted to share my experience with Altsteon which I set up over the last day and a half.
Took a little trial and error to get it working. The getting started guide covered everything except for finding the root password on the Vera Lite which I found here: http://wiki.micasaverde.com/index.php/Logon_Vera_SSH#Can.27t_find_the_root_password.3F
So once I did that I got my first relay working pretty quickly. But I had trouble with my dimmer switch, I kept getting this error: “Unkown command ‘on’”. I updated to the latest development version of Altsteon and everything started working.
I’m very happy with the plugin and hope development continues, I like the ability to link from the cli in the latest version, makes everything much easier.
