New Firmware/New Interface

I’m new with Vera. If I purchase it right now and you come out with the lastest firmware or even hardware, will I be out of luck? What I’m asking is should I wait or should I buy now knowing I’ll get the latest and greatest features as they come.

Roger, if it helps, I’ve had mine for a little over a year and I just keep updating with the newer Firmware releases as they come without any real problems. The platform they run on has tons of headroom (from what I’ve seen) for doing stuff “day to day”.

So far we’ve not seen/heard any indications it won’t continue to upgrade for a while longer (including the newer releases hinted for release in the next few weeks), especially since it’s what they develop/test on :wink:

I’m also a proud Vera owner for almost 1.5 years now - bought one when it first became available for beta testers. Besides still using the old, but stable Z-Wave dongle, all the other features are provided by the latest firmware.
