New Feature??? NOT!!!

All-

For the past five years I have used two separate Veras (at two different locations) to manage the lights, doors, etc in two residences. For the most part I have used two different web pages (using Firefox) open at the same time using two different tabs. That way I could switch back and for in a reasonable time (I have 40-50 devices).

Now, a new MCV “feature,” does not allow two different web pages to be open at the same time. After displaying information from two veras on different browser tabs (using ui 1.5.622) after several minutes only a single vera information is displayed… i.e., it is duplicated on both tabs).

This is more than annoying. It requires going back to cp.mios.com and logging back in to the other vera. What used to take a few seconds now takes much longer. Suspect this is a MCV “feature” to reduce the number of open sessions on the MCV server.

Any thoughts?? Has anyone else seem this problem???

Are you sure this isVera, and not the latest Fire fox upgrade?

What about two separate instances of the browser Open, instead of two tabs?

Also, try another browser just to be sure.

Another thing you could try is viewing your second vera session in a private browser window. Assuming that works as advertized there should be no leakage of session information, cookies, etc between the two windows and they should have no knowledge of each other.

Hi tomgru

Good thought… but it seems to make no difference… Plan B was to create two separate MCV accounts… We’ll see how that works… Thanks

Hi Graham

I’ll give that a try … Thanks

Don

Have you tried logging in as different users on each Vera?

@Don Diego I don’t think it is us. We have published any update to UI5. I’ve got both of my controllers up in separate tabs in firefox with no issues. Try clearing your browser cache just in case. You could access them by their IP addresses if you’re on the same network, that ought to do the trick.

Are you using direct addressing of the Veras or access via MIOS? I keep two Vera tabs open quite often but i have address the two directly, not through MiOS, and I’ve never seen this happen in FireFox, Chrome or IE.

Hi,

I have a UI6 and UI7 box in the same local net work and I can access both at the same time locally on two tabs in one Firefox browser instance. I can also access both remotely at the same time.

Cheers Rene
