I’m installing Vera Lite in a rental mostly for the zwave lock I purchased. I’m not very tech at all so should I wait to set it up at the rental or can I set it up at home and then plug it in at the rental? Will this cause me any problems?
If you have only a lock and a Vera, then you can setup/configure in advance if you wish.
If you are installing multiple Z-Wave devices, especially mains powered devices, then you’ll probably have a better experience if you install them in situ. You can preconfigure, but there will likely be routing issues, at least for the first day, when you install them in a new location.
