Netatmo weather station

Hi ,

I plan to buy the netatmo weather station plus the rain gauge module .

Sounds like there is a specific version depending of your country due to the use of radio frequency between external modules and the main station itself .

Is this correct ?

Thank you

Yes this is correct:

“Wireless connection between modules:
915 MHz or 868 MHz long range 100m.”

I’m sure you already know this but there is a Vera Plugin for the Netatmo Weather station → http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/board,73.0.html
The plugin connects to the “Cloud” (i think), so the frequency should not matter.

+1 for Netatmo - it’s one of the most stable pieces of gear I have. Comm between modules is rock solid, Wifi on head unit is rock solid and the Vera plugin is rock solid

Ok Thanks a lot for the feedback.

This version of the main weather station " NWS01US " is saying that it is for US region = Fine

But the Rain module version “NRG01WW” is not clear about this .
I guess the Rain module supports both radio frequencies and that 915 Mhz is for US region ?

Btw , which 915/868Mhz protocol is used between the main station and the modules ?

Other question : Is it a problem that the closest weather station available can be far away so the weather data received by the Netatmostation can be a bit inaccurate ?
