I have Tasker on my phone which knows when I am home by my WiFi or Bluetooth in the house. I wanted to set my nest to away mode when my phone detects I am not home. The problem I have is I might leave the house but my wife might still be at home. Is there a way I can manage home locations states on my vera? Can have a state for each person and once they are all off, meaning they are not at home, have my vera trigger my nest to go into away mode?
Was looking at using the multiswitch plugin for this but looks like I can’t set an and condition for this. Just a trigger from each of the switches. Then I was looking at PLEG. Not sure what I’m doing with this just yet.
I solved this problem with Tasker and a webserver I setup. Now each member of the house can leave individually but only until all are gone will nest be put into away mode. First person to return will set back to home mode. I did not use geofencing since Tasker knows I’m home by other means.
