need thermostat that will control heat and humidifier

any suggestions?

my hvac guy says he uses honeywell in typical/non zwave applications.

would this unit work?

i would go further on this and make this myself…
but depending on the hvac system you have , this could be the device you want.it looks nice. thing is you need to find out whether its using 24v DC low or high pulse or its using 120v AC or 22vAC and the correct z-wave frequenty. i.e. the hvac control should have the same steer-voltages and commands as the hvac itself.

The Unit listed I HAve and does not have Humidity control. I use a Duct mounted solution that is Set on 40% all year long.

If you are willing to look outside of the Z-wave world, the Venstar thermostat will work for humidity if you add the humidity module.

However you might want to check with MCV to see if the native implementation supports humidity.

you could also attach this z-wave thermostat and a few temp/humidity sensors and take value of these and calculate a mean value and so steer the installation.
