Last night I ‘upgraded’ to UI5. My unit has not worked well since. It constantly says “server busy” at the top of the screen, fails to save after multiple tries, wont talk to my modules and a host of other disappointing snags. Therefor, I decided to go back to UI4. After several failed attempts to do a ‘factory reset’ I’m stumped. Nothing seems to work and I can’t get back to UI4. If anyone can help, please offer up some suggestions.
Before anyone asks, yes, I did a full backup before the upgrade, and have at least one good one right after the upgrade.
You need to have a backup prior to upgrading to UI5. You can log into cp.mios.com and go to the backup section to download a previous backup. You will need to go into UI5 and into the firmware section. Paste the following link into the firmware box:
You will need to check the box saying restore to factory defaults. Do the upgrade and once completed, clear the cache from your browser. Go into vera that should now be UI4 and go into the backup section. Restore your unit with the older backup. You should than be good to go.
Thank you, garrettwp. That worked. For those users considering upgrading to UI5, I would recommend waiting for a little while. This has been a very tiring two days with lots of ‘…waiting’. The interface looks nice, but if it isn’t functional then there is no point. Thankfully, we have a great bunch of experts here who were able to get me back to normal :o
I’m going back down to UI4. Things that appeared to be working in UI5 (control of lights, scheduled scenes) are now no longer available to me because data won’t load.
