Need a decent Android app that looks like a dedicated controller

I have been using Homewave on my iOS devices and it is a fantastic controller. I love the way you can create your own buttons and even lock screens.

My problem is finding something as good for Android. I recently acquired a 7" Android tablet and thought I could use it as an in-wall home controller. I want to be able to configure buttons and be able to lock at least the security screen so you would have to enter a code to disable my sensors etc. I also want the app to be locked so users can’t get to other apps so it has a embedded/OEM feel. Any suggestions? I’m also a bit ignorant in the Android world so apologies if questions on this platform appear that way.

Unfortunately there is no alternative to what HomeWave does. Some app options for Android are HomeBuddy, AutHomationHD (my app), and a few others.

Check out IRule. As I do not use it yet myself because of its expense, it seem to do a lot.

Trying AutHomationHD now and it’s looking like the best choice. It doesn’t look like I can lock the screen though so you can’t easily accidentally get to the settings, correct? Ideally, if I could set it up to be locked to a subset of a few buttons and not let the user easily exit the app, it would work perfect.
