Naming GE45601 and GE 45631 controllers

Hi all !

I have named all my devices on vera3 for better organizations…

but when I rename ths GE 45601 and GE45631 controllers the change is not applied… and the name returns to original something like:
_GE Handheld Controller

someone has faced with this problem ?

I’m changing the names using ans Ipad with IOS6 and I have found problems… can this be ?

Most likely due to heavy caching in safari on ios6. There is another post on this. Try it on a computer and see if it works.

Hello Garret !

I tryed in my notebook using windows 7 and explorer 8, and my desktop using the same…
and I can not change the name of this 2 devices…

what do you think about ?

What is the value of the [tt]Configured[/tt] variable on the [tt]Advanced[/tt] tab of the remote?

Internet explorer is notorious for issues with Vera’s Web interface. Try a different browser like Chrome or Firefox. There are other threads discussing similar issues. Search for them.

Tested in Chrome…

nothing…

the new name is displayed for a few seconds…and old name returns…

PS: all my devices were renamed without problems.

by incredible as it may seem, the 2 devices are renamed now.

many tries and combinations, I have removed the letters GE of the name, after put again between parenthesis, and another combinations I do not remember.

simply, now is rrenamed

Nice. I had just tried it on a Vera Lite; no issue.
