My Home Automation Mind Map

In the spirit of sharing…

I’ve had a go at mapping out the hardware in my HA set up, and wanted to post it here for any thoughts/feedback from this forum. (Does it make sense? Are the terms used correct? etc. )

The goal was to show how all my end devices/node connect to Vera.

Looks great to me. You could, perhaps, argue that Z-Wave is as much a protocol as an interface?

You really need a Netatmo to complete the picture!

I know - and it’s already on the list
(I just hope Santa can deliver)

What would be more interesting is a map about the logic’s you have and how the different devices react to each other, but that map would be a whole lot bigger i guess.

The nearest I have to this is a table generated in EventWatcher (see http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,16984.msg139085.html#msg139085) showing which devices trigger, or are switched by, which scenes. Unfortunately, it would be very hard to make this a complete picture because Luup code and plugins makes links between devices which are, effectively, invisible.
