My alerts and log

I am currently using a vera lite and a vera 2 (from two different locations) each running on UI5. I have schlage locks and lever pairing with these vera systems. they have been up and running for 2 years now and working flawlessly.

I own 3 vacation homes and assigned specific codes to different users. The COA, the cleaning crew, and guests each have different codes. I can track the time and date they are accessing the door but what I cannot figure out is how to find out which user is accessing the door. I go to “Logs” ==> then “My alerts” screen appears and I can see the time and date but how can I tell who is entering the code. Please tell me what am I missing???

I have another schlage lock pairing with vera 2 but ruinning on UI4. Now on that system, there is a log and there, I can tell which user is accessing the code.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry for reviving an old post, but I’m having the same issue. I have searched the forums and have yet to find an answer. Surely the access PIN used is logged somewhere, right? I’d hate to think the only data I have available is the time and date of entry…

Easy to fix.

Go to your Door Lock and then choose Notifications.

Select the condition “A pin Code is entered”
Give it a name e.g. Pin Code “Cleaning Crew”
Provide the number e.g. 1

If you have 3 Pin codes, you don’t need to enter the pin code itself but the number of your index.

Example:
Cleaning Crew = Pin Code “1” = 1111
Dad = Pin Code “2” = 2222
Mom = Pin Code “3” = 3333

You don’t have to check the checkbox for notification of any user. Even without the checkbox you will then see 2 entries in your “My Alerts”. First the door unlock/lock event and right after that the Pin code with the name you have given it e.g. “Cleaning Crew”.

Enjoy!

Thanks! I guess I should have been able to figure that out. It just seems like there would be a simple log file that you could review that will tell you at a glance the pins that were entered and the time.

Thank you for the info. I couldn’t figure this out either. Saved me from posting the question myself.

You might consider using Vera Alerts to your phone.
You can color code messages from different properties.
