Hi everyone!
I’m the new owner of a Vera Edge (UI7) and have an Aeon MultiSensor and a GE in-wall Z-wave switch. They work great together using scenes, but due to the lag I’d rather associate them. I’m following the instructions I was able to find… I open the motion sensor device in Vera, I go to “Device options,” and I enter “1” for the Group ID, as that’s what the manual says this device uses. At that point, it accepts the group ID and I see Delete, Set, and View buttons as it should. I expect to be able to hit Set and choose a device from a list of devices… but instead, it just gives me “undefined”.
Any ideas?
There is a bug the Most recent Vera Edge firmware that causes that. Contact suppsort, they have a work arround so that you can create associations.
OK, thanks for the info! That’s welcome news, as I also just installed a Linear WT00Z and have the same issue – that one pretty much has to be associated, so hopefully they’ll get back to me soon.
You can type those values in the advanced tab. If you have another device already associated you can look up the format and fields there. Format is group,device,device,
I just did it for 2 WT00Z
The advanced tab of which device? I want to associate the WT00Z with three plug-in dimmer modules. What all do I need to fill in?
Advanced tab of the WT00Z, so my example has group 1 with devices (Dimmers) 39,40,42. For multi-channel you need to specify main device and sub device so it would be main device.subchannel
OK, cool. I played around with it a little and at one point, one of the three lights was working. No longer, though… something I changed and didn’t keep track of.
OK, so my WT00Z looks like yours (with my device IDs) and still not working… perhaps there’s some configuration I have to do on each of the three devices I mean to control?
