Multiple Pin Codes Lost Again!

I have 2 Schlage locks at each of my 2 rental homes. I add pin codes for each renter and set daily restrictions. I have learned through trial and error that you have to save each new pin and its restriction before you can add another pin. This makes the process more time consuming but it seems to work. When I am done, I update the dashboard and then I run a back up to save all of the pins and their restrictions. However, periodically I lose all of my pins (13/lock) which have restrictions set. I don’t lose those pins without restrictions?? Why does vera2 keep losing pin with restrictions from time to time (after retaining them for days to weeks in between)?

It had not happened for quite a while but iy happened again. I lost the 10 or so pins with restrictions. I did not lose the pins with restrictions??
Can any one tell me how to prevent this?

It has happened to me twice. And today was the second time. The previous time was last summer. This seems in synch when you have had issues. Hmm. I had blamed the previous one on battery replacement as I had done it only a few weeks before and thought I confirmed the codes remained, but questioned myself. This time ther eis no mistake as the batteries have not been changed of late.

It is curious that only pins with restrictions are lost. I know that if the expiration date on the restriction passes, the pin will disappear. I wonder if something happened with the MCV servers that the date was set ahead causing the pins with restrictions to disappear. Only MCV knows if something like that happened to their server recently.

I called MCV to again discuss this problem with restricted pin codes being erased. They suggested that I configure both lock so that the selection for “auto configure” is “No”.
No one is certain that this will solve the problem but it is worth a try.

Okay, thanks for the clue. I reset it and will hold my breath for the next 6 months or so (well maybe not for real). In the mean time I will check on a regular basis. It was very embarassing to have a guest check-in and not be able to open the door. Luckily I was able to add the code back in quickly and make it seem like they did not input it correctly.

Yes, much better to embarrass them! LOL 8)

Does anyone know if this problem has been fixed?
Is there any downside to turning off auto configuration for Schlage locks?
Thanks

I appears that this problem has still not been fixed. I had to reinstall (exclude, include) one of my Schlage locks and left the autoconfigure in the default setting. I entered 5 pins with restrictions. About 7 days later, I discovered that the pins with restrictions were gone but not the 3 pins without restrictions! Is there a down side to not allowing auto configuration on a Schalge lock?
