I’m not sure if anyone has tried this or not but I couldn’t find anything by searching on the forum. I’m setting up a system for a buddy and he wants to give different people access to different devices. Could I just add another Mi Casa Verde and only learn certain devices into it? Basically am I able to learn one device into more then one Verde?
So this has nothing to do with it being a large home and needing to combat reception or hop issues? That is where you would typically have multiple Vera’s. Is he trying to limit access so certain people can control only certain devices? How are they interfacing with Vera, if it is through a smartphone app and they are tech savy people you could just create a different UI in the app for each of them in an app like SQ Remote.
Devices can only be learned by one Master Controller and then replicated into secondary controllers (which could be another Vera or a scene controller, etc.).
I was planning on having him use the standard android app. Is there any zwave controller that allows user access control?
