I have had the iris system for over 2 years now and have loved it. Now with the 2.0 coming out it’s becoming a POS. Main issue being local-processing which from what I have read the Casa Verde system does this. I have the following devices and was wondering if they will work with the Verde hubs and which one I will need.
3 iris door sensors (will be 2.0 and from what i understand are zwave so they will work?)
1 iris motion sensor (same deal as the door sensors)
2 Radio Thermostat CT-101
1 GE Light Switch
1 First Alert Smoke Detector
1 Kwikset Deadbolt Doorlock
1 iris range extender (I don’t think this will work)
And the big one is a gen 2 keypad. My favorite part about iris is that it still feels like an alarm system. i don’t have to use my phone to set the alarm. Is that something that verde can do? I really hope i can use this system since iris has left me out to dry.

Hi 46l281gt
Can you provide specific model numbers for your devices? Perhaps then we can get you some answers.
The CT-101 will work, as will the GE switch and Kwikset lock. At least, to my knowledge, they are all Z-Wave. I have the Ct-101 and I don’t think GE makes anything BUT Z-Wave.
Anything branded Iris is likely to be ZigBee and not compatible.
First Alert should be Z-Wave. I have two - bought from Lowes - that are. Check the model number.
If your Kwikset has their SmartKey feature, consider replacing it. It is easily bypassed with little more than a screwdriver. Google it. I’d recommend Schlage.
This is the best place to look. Note: some of the Iris devices look identical to other brands’ ZigBee devices like the motion sensor, that is because they are made by the other companies.
