Motion detector for a dimmeable receiver?! (SOLVED?)

I love this “smart home” project. But i always tend to get my imagination too far sometimes. Or?

The thing is that i have a livingroom/kitchen in one solution. And when it is late i have most lights of, i dont have wall switches i use tablets/phones with ImperiHome to controll everything (Lightmanager Pro+) and it is great. But when its late and i just want to go to the kitchen area to get some snacks or drinks i dont bother changing to a fitting scene. I want a motion detector to detect when im in the kitchen and turn on one of the receivers/zone (my ceiling has a total of 4 zones to make each scene just right). It all kind of works except that the motion sensor that i got dont work on these dimmable lights, cause it works as a switch and just starts dimming the lights up and down.

So to the point is there any motion detectors avalible for dimmable receivers?

I cant seem to find any. At least not for my nexa units.

I was wondering of getting a Vera unit aswell to the Lightmanager Pro+ controller, for security, thermostat etc. Maybe there is something special for Vera that could work? But would the Vera work with a CoCo or Nexa receiver?

Thanks!

I think the Smartswitch plugin for the Vera would achieve what you are looking for if it is included in schedule based scenes. PLEG based interaction or even regular scenes could all do this as well.

You should research how well the Vera and the Lightmanager Pro + will play together as well as any potential problems with the Vera and your existing motion controllers.

I actually managed to kind of work around this part. Even though it is not supposed to work.

I have a couple of scenes/modes for my livingroom/kitchen. And what i did was to adjust the sensor so only work at low light. I Also only wanted the sensor to work over the kitchen bench when it is dark and i wanted to make some snack/drink late at night, without activating a new scene with controller. Another problem was that i didnt want the sensor to activate when i opened a door only at a sertain area of the kitchen, that part was easily sorted with placing the sensor really close to the floor.

The problem i was left with was that the sensor started dimming when activating, which was not any good.

When i have it in “Morning” mode it is to light for the sensor to work. And all lights are on quite strong.

When i have it in “Evening” mode its a bit dimmed and the light over the kitchen table was also on. The sensor even then activated and started dimming.
What i then did was move the sensor more into the light of the remaining lights agains the wall of the kitchen. I then found a spot at my place that when the light set was set to 37% dim, the sensor does not work, and does not activate. Lower than 37% it activates for my part, higher makes to much light. So perfect.

And then i have “Late Night” a kind of cosy atmospehere if you want. In this mode only lights at the wall in the kitchen is activated, not the one over the kitchen table, those are off. So now when i step into the area and i really do want light over there it does activate, and it does not dim either, which is kind of weird but good, it just activated to the last preset, which again often is “Evening” mode.

So there you go, it works! ;D Just might be a solution for others also.
