Has anyone seen a single gang device, capable of sensing ambient light, AND being a motion sensor? For this , I will cut into sheet rock and add a larger box in several rooms. Controlling a local load would be too much to ask, but icing on the cake if such a device exists 
You could use the light level as a sensor in local rooms, and, send multiple motion triggers as people move through the house to turn on devices, or relay audible information.
