finally getting back to Vera after a couple of months. Here’s where I’m at:
- Panasonic camera
- deleted, then re-added
- works, sorta. Can’t remote move the camera and can’t view full size (broken image)
- ZIR000 Motion Sensor
- want to have Motion Sensor trigger camera and turn on light when sensor is armed.
- Sensor picks up motion, is configured, but no effect on light or camera.
- the settings under the camera don’t save. For example, I put a check box in “Archive a photo when the following sensors are tripped…”, click Save, come back and it’s not checked.
Remote Support is now enabled, so feel free to have at it.

We just released a new firmware 522 (see official announcements) which fixes a couple issues with viewing the camera. However, the scenario you described with the motion sensor has been working and stable for a long time. So something else is wrong. After you upgrade, if it’s still happening, and you don’t mind letting us in to look at your logs, ping us on the tech support chat (micasaverde.com, support).
Updated to latest firmware.
- Camera
- Can see camera image fine
- Can’t remote move the camera and can’t view full size (broken image)
- Note: Camera controls work fine through the camera’s own web interface
Motion Sensor
- can now change and save settings on camera/sensor, etc. **There is clearly a caching issue or something at play here, as this is not the first time this behavior has occurred (change, save, not saved). Very confusing when settings don’t seem to save. Makes troubleshooting a keystone cops exercise.
- I am no longer at house so can’t test it (unless someone breaks in…)
I will contact support to supply the remote access.

We resolved this issue with Anthony. His browser had cached the javascript. Doing a page refresh (ctrl+f5) solved the problem.
Seems as though this is resolved. Although there have been issues, I applaud the MCV staff for their commitment to fixing them. I put my money where my mouth is when I bought Vera and they are matching it with their support.
Thanks, it’s refreshing.
