I have the wake up set to 600 seconds if that matters, otherwise I have done nothing but pair it an include it in the Garage Door Plugin from RTS. Previous to this is said it wasn’t responding. I changed the polling interval to 60 seconds and it changed to this error. I changed it back to 600 seconds and the error persists.
The tilt sensor seems to work, showing it is open when the garage door is open and closed when the garage door is closed. I have it set to be armed all the time as who knows when the garage door needs to be opened or closed using the Vera App with the plugin.
This is just an annoyance I suppose as the device is doing what it is supposed to do. It does lower my confidence somewhat in functionality with opening and closing the garage door though.
Been waiting! Before I tried to change the wake up interval it almost always said it wasn’t connected but proceeded to work all the time. Now this. I have restarted the LUUP a few times from the develop apps screen area with no success. I suppose a full power cycle is next. Hopefully that clears it up!
Changing the wakeup interval on the sensor is the thing that trigger the notification on the sensor to start with, and I’m sure it didn’t take the change, if you still have the error. But the sensor will still continue to work normally, with the exception that it didn’t take the last change it you did on it.
Battery operated devices are in sleep mode, so they will not be able to pick up any settings change, unless you manually wake them up. Usually you can wake them up by pushing multiple times on a tamper switch on the sensor, but may want to check the manual of the sensor, to make sure. Also, if sensor is too far it might still remain stuck, until you bring it closer to Vera, and wake it up again, then move it back to it’s original position.
OK. Thanks! I will do this this weekend. The Vera is upstairs almost above the garage door but not quite. There’s a MIMOLite at the GDO, a door sensor on the door from the garage to the house and just outside is 2 MIMO2+ Relays as well as a lighting control on the back patio. None of these devices have connectivity issues and it seems there’s a pretty robust mesh in this area.
At any rate, I’ll give it a kick in the pants this weekend and report back.
I took off the cover, took the battery out for a bit, put it back in and pressed the tamper switch about 5 times. I’m happy to report that the sensor is happy again!
Thanks!
