Got three of the monoprice garage tilt sensor and they installed and trip, I have it set to text me when it tilts so I know if I get two texts its shut. However on Vera Dashboard it shows it tripped with the red line above the motion icon. How do you get it to clear once it has triggered and then shut? Is there a value I have to change or input into the device?
They should untrip when the door closes and the sensor ‘untilts’. While the door is open, the sensor will be in ‘tripped’ mode. When close it will untrip.
I have mine hooked up to my UI5 Vera so I can’t comment on the possibility that it suffers the same issue some of the PIR sensors suffered where they would not untrip. That was resolved in release 7.08 I believe.
If your door is closed for like more than 5 minutes and the sensor still shows tripped after that you may want to contact Vera support and have them look at it.
Mine are inverted, tripped when closed, untripped when the garage door is opened. is there a way to invert them in the variables?
Im using UI17 so it might have something to do with it. There was just a new firmware update that I am downloading now. I will see if that fixes it. If it doesnt I will contact vera to see if they can help.
Nope update didnt help. Still doesnt untrip.
I have UI7 as well and the firmware didn’t help me at all.
Ever get a resolution on this? I guess mine are perpetually tripped as well.
Nope no resolution. Still shows tripped continuously.
That sucks, any reply from tech support?
