MimoLite Controlling Garage Door.

What I want to do is set my vera to check my garage door sensor at a specific time and verify that the garage door is closed. If not I want it to close the doorand lock my Kwikset Kitchen DoorLock if itisn’t locked. My garage door has an optical sensor inside the danger zone of the closing door. If the beam is broken while closing the door will automatically reverse.

I have installed a Mimolite on my garage door opener, and tied it in to the existing mag switch. I purchased a separate magnetic switch to connect to the Mimolite to monitor the door status (open/closed) but found that connecting to the existing garage door magnetic switch seemed to work well w/out adding additional wiring/hardware.

Opening or closing the garage door requires that I send an ON, followed by an Off about three seconds later every time. Also the analog sensor indicates 1 or 2 when closed and 0 when open.

I installed the Garage Door Plugin and configured the DoorSensorDevNum as the Virtual Analg Sensor created by the MimoLite Plugin and Configured the DoorSwitchDevNumber as the Device ID of the MimoLite.

The Garage Door Plugin shows Unlock/Lock rather than Open/Close Assuming Unlock is Open and Lock is closed, it seems to show the correct status but I cannot open nor close using this control.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Does the MimoLite look like a Light Switch ?
Can you post the information from the Advanced Tab of the device.

There is a jumper on the MIMOLite that you need to change to switch it to act as a momentary push button - JP5. This will eliminate the need to send the on then off command.

Under the files tab, read the instruction on hooking it up to your garage door. It will tell you what you need.

I have a MIMOLite setup on my garage door, working as a pushbutton and it works without any problems.
