Migrating from Schlagelink to Vera lite - do I need to unregister my devices?

I am coming up on my six month free service date with Schlaglink/Nexia. I just unboxed my Vera Lite unit and would like to setup my two Trane Thermastats and Schlage locks and light module on Vera.

I recall reading somewhere about having to uninstall zwave devices prior to installing them on a new zwave network. Can someone confirm that for me? Thanks.

Yes, Z-Wave devices can only be included into a single Z-Wave network. When you exclude them, they’ll forget about your current controller’s network and will accept being included into your new controller’s network.

(Exclusion can be done with Vera, if you wish.)

I assume you had to pair your devices, right?
I have no idea how it works with the Schlage but you will have to unpair them before you can pair them again with Vera.

Thanks. I did the unenroll and then enrolled the Schlake Dead bolt and the two trane thermostats with minor difficulty. Trying to add an X-10 light switch and not having any luck. And then going through the other things one does when first setting things up.
