MigrateTo452

Thinking of upgrading the Zwave firmware.

Would like to know from those who have done it already, did you have to reset the network or did the hack work?

I would be careful in doing this as there could be a negative impact on your z wave network. The whole process is still very much beta and there isn’t anything official released yet. I myself did it, and I haven’t noticed any negative impact thus far. However, everyone’s z wave network is different with different devices. I’ve been informed that there are problems for instance with vera firmware .1229 and the 3 and 1 sensors. Because there isn’t anything official as of yet that also means that there isn’t any documentation on all of the bugs. I can confirm one thing with “452” z wave firmware, healing and stress testing actually seems to work this time around. 5 stars on all of my devices. Thank you MCV! Also, starting with Vera firmware .1229 the response time is really fast.

I reset my z wave network and started with a clean slate. Always the best approach in my opinion.

Patience on upgrading the Z-wave firmware.

The latest Vera firmware should be out of the oven and ready for use shortly. I strongly suggest waiting until this new firmware is released before attempting the Z-wave upgrade.

And yes, from my point of view, it’s worth the wait.

Been using the beta Vera firmwares for a while now without any major problems. Only one I ran into was pairing Schlage locks. Currently running 1230

The Zwave firmware would seem to be a released version and the document states it is shipping on current Veras.

Re writing the scenes would not be much of a problem. Having to pair all devices back to Vera would be a bit of a pain.
