MCV please address the 3-in-1 sensor problem (HSM-100)

I’ve been experimenting with the “new style” HSM-100 sensor from homeseer. As many of you know Homeseer aparently has made changes to the sensors currently being sold and they are not currently working properly (or at all) under UI5. I tried this morning to add one of the new sensors to UI4 and although the device LED stopped flashing as if it had been added it never showed up on the UI. for months it has been known that they are not working. Yes tech support tickets have been submitted. Yes I know MCV did not create the problem. Unfortunately what we have now is that a competitor of MCV (homeseer) has modified one of the most popular motion sensors used by Vera to be incompatible, and there is much documentation re: Vera to indicate that these sensors work well with vera. So now all new users who try these are garanteed a bad experience and seasoned users like myself have a $75 paperweight and no ability to expand capability. I’m sure this situation suits your competition well but it’s not helping Vera. What do we know:

  1. under UI5 sensor will add but ends up within a day or 2 locking up in the “motion detected status” (red running man)
  2. as recently as last month some are reporting UI5 problems even with the old sensors http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,10937.15.html
  3. under UI4 I can not even add the sensor successfully
I would sincerely appreciate if MCV could respond with either
  4. we are addressing the problem and expect an answer by (timeframe of choice) OR
  5. This is not our problem and this sensor will no longer be compatible with VERA
MCV: we know you did not create the problem but lets clarify the status so other are not wasting money AND having a bad experience with Vera which negatively impacts your business. Please and Thank you!

or not, lol. anyone else having trouble with these?

Yes, i have the same problem.

Mine ran out of battery in less than a week. Monitored home is an hour away. No good. Not sure if that can be fixed.

Hi,
I’m having problems with EZmotion 3-in-1 too. There is multiple topic on this issue. Most of them talk of non update of some or all of the 3 sensors.
idave321 suggested a solution here but I didn’t test it yet : http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,12937.msg95464.html#msg95464

SDMat, did you try to change advanced option to get it work ? When I put mine in “always on” mode to try to get it work, it’s also ran out of battery in a few days.

In my case, even in “always on” mode it didn’t update unless pressing the blue button.

Wii try to test the idave321 setting ASAP.

Have a nice WE.

“Paperweight” is a good description, sadly.
