Can anyone explain me the difference in between marketplace.mios.com and apps.mios.com?

I know a description is available under http://wiki.micasaverde.com/index.php/Apps.mios_Developer's_Guide, so is apps.mios.com the developer view of marketplace.mios.com? Why are there way more plugins available at apps.mios.com? Can I install them on my vera or is this critical?

Is marketplace.mios.com only showing approved Versions of apps.mios.com?

EDIT: I just tried installing the Wake-On-Lan plugin from apps.mios.com. Funny enough it installed the plugin “UneTV”…

apps.mios.com is for the UI5 compatible plugins. When it will be officially launched, it will allow developers to publish their plugins.

I doubt you can install a plugin from apps.mios on a Vera with UI4.

Yes, actually you can install plugins, it just always installs the wrong one. If I try for example you “Heliotrope Plugin” it installs “PhilipsDVD”.

So I hope that’s because of UI4, although that doesn’t make a lot of sense…

It’s a bit scatter/gather at the moment: wiki and (this) board, plus marketplace; I think apps.mios.com is a collection effort, sourced from said locations.

Happens the same here!
I’m running a Vera2 with ui4 and I always get the wrong plugin! :o I’m trying to install the Heliotrope, DVR Install Utilit and another one…

Can someone please confirme if it’s possible to install these with ui4? :slight_smile:

I might be a bit tired to understand correctly but the problem is just the way the plug-ins are being “published” so to speak, but are the plug-ins made to UI5 compatible with UI4? :slight_smile:

Not all the UI5 plugins are compatible with UI4. This is something that the developer decides.

Would you be so kind to point me to the 3 files used by the plugin called DVR? I want to try it and see if it can work with my dvr that I have with 3 cameras. If I can manage to make it work it will help some of us that have the same problem as me - watch the DVR signal with Vera2.
