I am planning on moving My HA system over to a Veralite but have not seen any information on a plugin for the marantz SR5005 receiver. There is not a plugin hiding out somewhere that works with this receiver is there? If not is there anyone around that writes plugins for a fee?

Most likely either no one knows the answer to your question. It will be pretty hard to find someone to write a plugin for nothing if it does not interest them. Most of the plugins developed are by members of this forum and had some need for making it to benefit them and to share with others. The fastest way of getting the Marantz integrated with Vera is to roll up your sleeves and start learning.

As Marantz uses (almost?) the same protocol as Denon (Both D&M holding), you could try to use the Denon plugin, maybe you have to adapt some things but it’s a good start.
I can confirm, the denon plugin works with my Marantz SR7005.
