Manual route for nearby node?

A previous post clarified that manually setting a route for Vera>2>4>Node is specified by 2.4

That was very helpful, but how do you tell Vera the route for a node that is close by? I’m guessing it is counterproductive for Vera to check any route other than Vera>Node, particularly when healing, so it seems like it would be a good idea to tell Vera not to bother with alternate routes when Vera and a node are in the same room.

Do you remove “undefined” and leave it blank, or 0, or ???

Nobody? I’m interested also in this subject.

I believe the manual route specifies the intermediate nodes. So to go from Vera to node 4, via node 2, you’d specify [tt]2[/tt] as the route.

To specify a direct route, you could try [tt]0[/tt] (as [tt]0[/tt] and [tt]255[/tt] indicate direct routing in other routing contexts). This would be similar to what Vera enters herself in the [tt]AutoRoute[/tt] field, for a directly accessible node.
