Major delay in notifications

Notification was send 5 days later?
Just got 6 notifications in a row, should have got them over the weekend over a few hour period.

Header info of the email shows it was sent today.

Anyone else run into this lately or know what could cause this?

Problems with the event server evidently :slight_smile:
Apparently now fixed, and what your seeing is what was in the queue while it was down!

You probably had an odd serial number?

As @strangely said, things got fixed. Server resources also got upgraded.

I’ve written an Android App so you can can get immediate alerting ( it works via the google cloud alerting mechanism ). It does require you to create a virtual device on your vera, but after that I think it’s pretty swift at getting alerts out if you need them.

Still looking for testers !!

I would like to hear more about the android application…in particular the google notification and virtual devices. Can you send me the information?

Glad you chaps are using it ok.

I’ve made a small demo video of it in action - not how to set it up but just it alerting me whenever my front door opens :

I’ll be doing some updates to the app over the next few weeks - ie different alert levels etc. but if you have any ideas, let me know.

I just installed this, and it is working in “test” mode…I can manually run the scene, and it alerts very quickly, which is great!

My problem so far is that I can’t get my Schlage lock to trigger the scene. I’ve tried using entering a PIN and opening the door as a trigger, but it just isn’t triggering the scene to run.

Is this an issue with the Schlage locks? Hopefully I am doing something wrong in setting up my scene. I have no other devices (lights, etc.) at this time, as I am just testing the Vera and Z-wave before going forward with more purchases.

Thanks for the software! It’s a sight better than MiCasa’s notifications, which I have not yet received a single one of yet after hours of testing! >:(

Glad you find it useful. I am going to enhance it over the next few weeks so watch out for updates. If you install it via the google marketplace, then you’ll automatically get alerted.

I can’t comment on the schlage lock though - just like you I started slowly ( 2 wall switches, 2 plug in lamp dimmers) as I have been burnt with x10 and am still pretty uncertain about who is going to win the standards war, zwave vs zigbee vs … etc etc.

Anybody else still seeing a significant delay in notifications? I had a notification set for an event that is triggered at sunset and I got it about 6 hours later at 2 am.

It seems like it worked for a few days but is getting backed up again.
