Lux rating not being reported on fibaro motion sensor

Hi

I am.having trouble with my only fibaro motion sensor. It’s failing to report the lux sensor unless I pull the battery out and re insert it.

Anyone else have this issue?
What parameters can I edit to increase the lux reporting time?

Thanks
N

This is the snippet from the manual that you need. Fibaro warns that changing the settings can effect your battery life. Here is the full manual Wireless Smart Home and Home Automation | FIBARO

My location only report lux between 0-180 or so the value in 40 was way to high, you either need to reduce 40 way down or set 40 to zero and use 42.
There is also a parameter number 9 that determines the difference between night and day, it is defaulted to 200, so it looks like the default in 40 is just trying to help you determine the difference between night and day.

I am still messing with my settings a bit to get it to do what i want with light measuring, as I want to not auto turn on the my hall light if the lux is over about 110. I believe the light setting is also reported on a poll. As for a while I had parameter 40 set to zero and it seemed be getting updated anyway, so I am not clear the best way to set these and preserve battery life yet.

  1. ILLUMINATION REPORT THRESHOLD
The parameter determines the change in light intensity level resulting in illumination report being sent to the main controller.
    Available settings: 0 - 65535 (1 - 65535 lux; 0 = reports are not sent)
    Default setting: 200 (200 lux)
    Parameter size: 2 [bytes]

  2. ILLUMINATION REPORTS INTERVAL
Time interval between consecutive illumination reports. The reports are sent even if there are no changes in the light intensity.
    Available settings: 0 - 65535 (1 - 65535 seconds; 0 = reports are not sent)
    Default setting: 0 (no reports)
    Parameter size: 2 [bytes]

Thanks for the reply

I found all my fibaro multi sensors were reporting correctly until I had a small power cut and the vera bounced. Since then the multi sensors are failing to update the lux values regularly.

I will try editing some of the values to see if I can get a more accurate reply from the light

Thanks
