Lua SMTP. How to use for sending notifications?

So I got the SMTP code working listed on this thread;

Now I am clueless on how to use this to notify when my sensors are triggered. I am only seeing the email/sms notification options that use the MiOS servers.

Please advise.

Paste it into the Luup tab of a scene (see screenshot), and make the scene be triggered by whatever event you want to generate the email.
