Lua memory usage

Hello all,

I’ve noticed my lua memory usage has jumped up over 100% recently. I don’t actually have that many plugins on my veralite, but I’ve heard before that removing one doesn’t actually delete it and I had more in the past. Not sure if this is correct or how I can get that memory usage down again. I have 3 PLEG devices with, FAR less in them combined than some people have in half of one of their PLEG devices. I have the day/night plugin, autovera, 2 ping sensors, Gcal, and a virtual switch.

I also have about 10 “ghost” motion detectors that don’t actually exist thanks to the firmware update that decided to add them to my fibaro. Not sure if those could play any role in lua usage at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It depends what you mean by memory usage: are you speaking of RAM or non-volatile storage used for disk space?

Deleting a plugin does not delete its files, but in truth this is actually only a small amount of space. If you don’t have a plugin running in your current system, then it’s not using RAM. Your ghost motion detectors are unlikely to be using a significant amount of that either… they’re just empty shells.

So what are you measuring, and how are you measuring it? And what have you changed recently?
