I have been trying to setup a LTM-5 as a trigger source for scenes but I’m not having much luck. Anyone done this before.
[tt]A scene is activated[/tt] + [tt]Which scene number[/tt]: 255, for On.
[tt]A scene is activated[/tt] + [tt]Which scene number[/tt]: 0, for Off.
Well it works. I kept setting deactivated thinking that what was used when you presses the bottom and it;s not. In both cases it’s when activated and only the scene changes.
Thanks for the clue that made this clear.
So when, if ever, do your use “when deactivated” with the LTM-5?
Can you get triggers when the button is being held down for dimming up or down?
Yeah, it’s not very intuitive. There is a request for MCV to align this better (i.e. scene 1 activated/de-activated etc.), as it’s not the same for all scene controllers.
So when, if ever, do your use "when deactivated" with the LTM-5?I haven't used it for the LTM-5.
Can you get triggers when the button is being held down for dimming up or down?Nope. But you could associate the LTM-5 with the devices directly. Use [tt]Associations[/tt] on the [tt]Device Options[/tt] tab of the LTM-5 and create a [tt]Group ID[/tt] 1 with the devices you'd like to control in it.
Well I was able to do what I was aiming for in the first place.
In the master bath I have a LTM-5 at the door and the LRM-AS across the room. The other lights such as the two vanities and the lights in a tall cabinet have their own LRM-AS’s. I want the LTM-5 to turn on and dim the main lights but when you turn off the lights on the LTM-5 I want it to turn off all of the lights.
So I associated the LTM-5 with the main lights then setup a scene in Vera so that when you hit the bottom of it the scene triggers and it turns out the rest of the lights. Seem to work fine so far.
Is there a way to program more advanced options to trigger different scenes?
For example, press once triggers scene x, hold triggers scene y, press 3x triggers scene z.
