Anyone know of a 3 way Z wave light switch that will allow bulbs as low as 15w? I have a Leviton Vizia 3 way and my outdoor “flicker” blub blinks every 5-7 seconds - evidently a low voltage issue.
(Interestingly, the old Leviton switch (same model) that went bad never had the issue?)
THanks - I have read through that but would rather investigate a switch before I start wiring in Resistors. Seems one person said the Evolve switches worked…again my original Leviton worked without issue also…the new one causes the blinking?!? ugh
after looking at another thread…a $5.25 25w 2.5k resistor wired into the light might fix it and take 1/2 the time and 1/3 of the $
True, but mine is going into a Gas Lamp over the garage doors that is actually wired for electric - I have a nice flicker flame bulb that looks just like gas but is cheaper…the old Leviton switch worked fine but the new one (same part) doesn’t? So a $5 resistor will fix the issue and my “flame” will look nice.
Thanks for the ref!
the vrso5-1lz does not have a neutral so it requires a minimum wattage to keep the electronics inside powered, the one I posted a link for requires a neutral to power the electronics inside. you can hear the clicking of the relay inside when activated. it will work with no load even hooked up to it, so it will work with your 15 watt bulbs
