if there’s a sticky/wiki/faq for this, please let me know where.
I did a rare heal on my Vera 3, and everything seems to be fine except for one GE outlet. this device is in the middle of my house (there are many further devices), and it was working fine before the heal. It says ‘unable to get information on node’.
What is the best procedure to re-add this device? bring the vera to it and re-include? or is there a better method?
Try to repair that node only. Make sure that reconfigure node is selected. This happens way to often and why I avoid the settings that result in nightly heals. With over 80 devices I have never had a clean heal.
is this normal? it looks like it is running through all the devices, similar to a complete heal. but since it says ‘ZWave : Configuring ZWave devices’, maybe it is only reconfiguring, not the full heal?
Anyway, thanks for the tip.
edit: there was a second remotely-located outlet that was also not responding after the previous heal. this one is now responding also. this is some weird science.
Now I remember why I stay away from healing a mostly working network. this morning, after the above step of healing the one outlet node, my 4 locks where showing the red button. manually activating them them configuring from the UI seems to have gotten them back to normal. Two light switches were also showing red. configure now on each device seems to have fixed these. ugh.
