Hi everybody, just received my Vera3 system this week. I was a Verizon Home control and Monitoring beta customer for 8 months but they are going no where with their system so here I am. I was able to successfully transfer my cameras, lights and other modules to Vera3 successfully.
The problem i am having is finding a compatible thermostat. I have a 2 Amana/Goodman 2 stage heat pumps using a Comfortnet Communicating thermostat. The thermostat is 4 wire 24vac.
I have looked at all recommended MiCasaVerde thermostats and I don’t see any that I could use.
Does anybody have any experience with this type of system to suggest which z-wave thermostat I could use? Thanks
here’s a link to what I have ww.comfortnet1.com/Portals/18/PDF/CNet%20Install%20Guide.pdf
I have a similar system to yours and to date, there may not be a good answer. If you keep checking for updates, you will find the latest on the ClimateTalk website at
The nearest solution to mobile/online access that I know of is going to be with EcoBee, not yet through Vera, but through thier own web applications.
So the choice is to give up some of the functionality of the ClimateTalk system and use a z-wave compatible TStat, keep your stand alone TStat or test out the EcoBee.
Thanks, I wrote to Ecobee to see if they will be making a compatible one.
Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but I have this exact problem. Just checking if any solution has been found to this. The last link to climate talk no longer works.
I just bought a goodman gas furnace/ac system and their comfortnet thermostat is recommended (other t-stats work but supposedly don’t get all the features the furnace can do). I had planned on getting a veralite to use with this but I’m curious if anyone has found a compatible t-stat that works well with the new goodman systems.
Thanks in advance!!
