I already have 3 of the 4 in 1s and about about to toss them out as they can’t seem to agree on a temp/humidity level with each other, nor with other known good measurements. Yes, I have the latest firmware
Is there a reliable temp/humidity sensor on the market?

Have you looked into Arduino? I been playing around with it for a short time and I can make a temp/humidity sensor for around 10-12.00 that seems to work well.
The best solution I have found is to add a RFXtrx transceiver to the Vera and use Oregon Scientific or other 433MHz temp/hum sensors. Much cheaper (so the initial cost for the RFXtrx is not a problem) and better accuracy.
433MHz sensors are abundant, many weather stations use them. The Oregon RAR501 is a good buy here in Sweden, you get 3 good sensors and an additional display for quite cheap.
You can also use the RFXtrx with lots of other devices. I have 433MHz motorized blinds and light switches, in addition to my Z-Wave devices.
